CUPCAKES AND CRANES
In honor of her nephew, Josh, and to keep his kind loving spirit alive, Cindy established Cupcakes and Cranes, a charitable arm of the Delectable by Design business. Cindy, a culinary artist, combines her artfully decorated cupcakes with folded origami cranes. She delivers them, free of charge, to those in transitional housing and others who are recovering and attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Paper origami cranes are regarded as a symbol of peace, hope and healing during challenging times. Cindy delivers hope and love to those recovering and battling addiction with her cupcakes, cranes and Josh’s story.
Josh left us on April 26, 2020 at 43 years old as a result of an accidental drug overdose. Back surgery sent him on a path which led to his untimely death. He was active in the recovering community and was an inspiration to his recovering brothers and sisters. Joshua was a kind and gentle soul; he was overflowing with empathy and if he were still with us, he would be attending meetings and supporting others with their battle.
Cindy works tirelessly to spread hope in Josh’s honor. If you would like to join Cindy and Josh in their journey to reach even more recovering souls who need hope, consider purchasing a dozen cupcakes . Cindy will deliver them, adorned with cranes and Josh’s story to those recovering in the local Fort Myers/Naples, Florida area.
